My Background

Now just from my measurements on my weight loss page you can probably tell that I’ve never been severely over weight. I’ve just always been a pretty regular sized chick.

This is one of the few full body shots I could find of myself… Don’t ask lol. I have a crazy life. I was around 160 at the time this picture was taken.

No one looked at me and said I was fat and some people actually called me skinny, although I have no idea why. Nobody actually believed me once I told them how much I weigh. I was never concerned about my weight in any way. In my family we eat what we want and exercise consists of an after dinner walk, sometimes. I just realized that I’m only going to be young once and I don’t want to die without seeing my body look as good as it can.

None of my friends are into fitness or working out and none of them understand why I’m suddenly monitoring what I eat and going to the gym everyday so tumblr is my outlet.

How I Got Started

I started off by running and I remember when I first started I couldn’t run 15 minutes without feeling like I wanted to throw up! Worst feeling ever! But I stuck to it. Now I can run over 6 miles without stopping and it is one of the best feelings ever! I also started going to body pump classes in March and I really liked them a lot.

At the end of April I stopped going to body pump classes and restructured my whole weight loss plan to include heavy weight lifting. When I started I couldn’t lift very heavy and it was trial and error to figure out where to start but once I got there it was awesome!

I also do cardio everyday. I probably do more cardio than is necessary but I realized the more cardio I do the more inches I lose and I’m all about losing inches :)

I’m not at my goal yet but the first 10 pounds are gone and when I look in the mirror now I love what I see! I am seriously in love with my body at this point even though I didn’t hate it before. I actually have a flat stomach ( No abs yet) and I dropped a pant size.
